What should I wear to my appointment?

Comfortable clothing is recommended for all appointments. Please note that the area of injury will need to be exposed for proper assessment. Therefore, tank tops or sports bras are recommended for shoulder exposure and shorts are recommended for hip, knee and/or ankle exposure.

How long are assessments and what should I expect?

Accepted Answer

Assessments can range between 45 to 60 minutes depending on the complexity of the issue. Your first physiotherapy session with begin with an in-depth assessment that may include health history, range of motion testing, strength testing, fitness testing, movement pattern testing, cardiovascular fitness, sensation testing and/or neurological testing. This assessment will allow your healthcare provider to establish a diagnosis and work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan to meet your health and fitness goals.

How long are treatments and what are the rates?

• Physiotherapy Assessments are 45 mins billed at $106.00
 • Physiotherapy Treatments are 30 mins billed at $86.00 and 45 mins billed at $106.00
 • Chiropractic Assessments are 40-45 mins billed at $106.00
 • Chiropractic Treatments are 30 mins billed at $80.00
 • Chiropractic Adjustments are 15-20 mins billed at $65.00
 • Shockwave Therapy: on it's own as 15 mins treatment is $65.00. If added to another service, add $30.00 to original treatment price
 • RMT 30 mins billed at $75.00 (HST included in price)
 • RMT 45 mins billed at $95.00 (HST included in price)
 • RMT 60 mins billed at $120.00 (HST included in price)
 • Osteopathy Assessments are 45 mins and $106.00
 • Osteopathy Treatments are 30 mins and $80.00
 • Specialty Physiotherapy appointments are $150.00 for Assessments and $95.00 for 30 mins Treatments 
 • Concussion Appointments for Chiropractic and Physio Assessments are $150.00.

Am I covered under insurance?

All insurance plans are different, however, most extended health plans cover a percentage of paramedical services. Paramedical services include physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, chiropractic, and osteopathic services. *Please note that you are responsible for the amount not covered by your insurance company. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Debit, and Cash.*

Do you have direct billing for extended health insurance plans?

If you are unsure if your insurance company allows for direct billing, please call them before coming in to your appointment, or bring your card to your first appointment and our front desk staff can call for you.

Question 6

Do I need a doctor’s referral for Physiotherapy?

Accepted Answer

No referral is required for your assessment or to begin treatments. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a doctor’s referral in order to reimburse you for your physiotherapy sessions and/or Registered Massage Therapy. Our staff is available to check with your insurance provider to determine whether a referral is required for reimbursement.
