Brianne Policelli
MScPT, Hons BSc., CAFCI
Clinical Director, Registered Physiotherapist, Vestibular Physiotherapist, Acupuncture Provider, complete concussion management certified and Custom Bracing
Brianne graduated from McMaster where she received her Master’s in Physiotherapy. Prior to this, she graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. Brianne has taken post graduate education in manual therapy, disorders of the spine, soft tissue mobilizations and acupuncture through the Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI).
Brianne has successfully completed the Emory University Vestibular Rehabilitation: A Competency Based Course. This six-day, intense evidence-based course is held in Atlanta, Georgia and co-sponsored by the American Physical Therapy Association. Brianne has been treating vestibular patients since 2012 and has had the opportunity to advance her skills in the treatment of patients with vertigo, dizziness and imbalance issues.

Gabi Kovacs
Co-Owner & Clinic Manager
Gabi started working at Total Health Physio in April 2013 while she was finishing up her Bachelor’s of Commerce degree at McMaster University. Brianne and her were the only two employees for a while, and spent long days waiting for new patients to walk through the doors. They quickly became best friends and decided that they wanted to work together for the foreseeable future!
Having similar goals and ambitions, Gabi and Brianne want to create an all around great atmosphere at the clinic for our patients. We hope that you can feel the friendly and positive vibes that we try to emit, all the while aiming to provide each and every one of our patients with the best possible treatment unique to their injury.

Leah Gater
** Off on Maternity Leave Until March 2025**
Registered Physiotherapist, Vestibular Physiotherapist and Acupuncture Provider
Leah Gater graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. Prior to this she graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Kinesiology degree. Leah is a full-time physiotherapist here at Total Health Physio. She enjoys assessing and treating all musculoskeletal injuries, and has extended education for low back and shoulder pain. She is certified to provide acupuncture, including dry needling/intra-muscular stimulation (IMS), as a treatment modality for acute and chronic pain. Over the past couple years, Leah has become particularly interested in treating vestibular conditions including vertigo and concussions. She has received certifications in advanced vestibular management and concussion management and is currently pursuing more education in this field.

Maraili (Marai) Nordberg
Registered Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Maraili completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University, where she worked as a clinical intern, assisting in the orthopaedic rehabilitation of both varsity athletes and general community members. While at McMaster, Maraili also worked with individuals with spinal cord injury in a specialized gym environment to help them regain strength and function in their daily lives.Following her time at McMaster, Maraili moved on to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Western University. During this time, she gained further experience in the treatment of cardiorespiratory, neurological and orthopedic conditions. She also took part in the development of community programs for those with pelvic health conditions and spinal cord injuries to increase their ability to access specialized rehabilitation.
Maraili looks forward to continuing her education and broadening her skill set to include acupuncture and pelvic health physiotherapy. Her treatment approach involves working in partnership with her patients to empower their resilience and ultimately achieve the results that they desire from their rehab.

Mat Mori
Registered Physiotherapist
Mat graduated from the Masters of Physiotherapy program at McMaster after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has completed the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program. He has extensive knowledge of the neurophysiological basis of acupuncture, as well as electroacupuncture, motor point and dry needling techniques.
Mat is also a certified Specialist in Muscle Activation Techniques. Through this technique, he is able to effectively identify and treat muscle imbalances that may be causing dysfunction in the body. He is currently working on his Master Specialist designation.
Mat has completed advanced courses in Soft Tissue Release as well as the Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy level 1. He has over 15 years of experience in exercise training. He is an expert in helping people improve their movement capabilities by increasing mobility, strength and motor control. Mat has experience treating individuals with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunctions. His holistic approach aims to address the root cause of clients’ issues in order to help decrease pain, minimize injury recurrence and improve performance.

Kate McLellan
Registered Physiotherapist
Kate completed her Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. During this time she played for McMaster’s Women’s Rugby team and developed her knowledge of strength & conditioning. Following this she graduated from Western University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Her education has provided her with hands on experience working with high performance athletes, neurological populations, and orthopaedic conditions.
Community involvement is essential to Kate’s values and wellbeing. She is an avid participant in many community events and is especially passionate about empowering young women in sport. Kate is a strong believer in the power of movement and loves to work with anyone wishing to accomplish their rehabilitation and fitness goals. She wishes to help people realize their potential by providing the tools for self-management and encouraging them to take control of their health and well-being.

Austyn Antonowicz
Registered Physiotherapist
Austyn is a dedicated physiotherapist with a strong background in sports, exercise, and fitness. He earned his undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Kinesiology, where his excitment for human movement and performance took off. He then pursued his Master's degree in Physiotherapy from Western University.
Austyn’s passion for physiotherapy started when he had to overcome several injuries to get back to playing sports and staying healthy and active. His treatment approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques that combine manual therapy, education, acupuncture, and functional exercises.
Outside of the clinic, Austyn enjoys playing many sports including baseball, volleyball, soccer, and running. So, weather you are a young athlete, weekend-warrior, or someone looking to improve their overall well-being, Austyn is able to tailor your unique goals to help you become the best version of yourself.

Dr. Brittany Boot
Doctor of Chiropractic, Acupuncture Provider, Complete Concussion Management Certified, Emergency First Responder
Ancaster Chiropractor, Dr. Brittany Boot, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University. Following this, she attended Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Since completing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree Brittany has been a Resident of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences where she is studying to challenge the Fellowship examination. Brittany has done additional training in Functional Integrated Acupuncture, soft tissue release therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, sports nutrition, and sports psychology. Brittany works full time in Ancaster at Total Health Physio.
Brittany has worked as Team Medical staff in the Ontario Junior Hockey League for 7 years and has spent time at numerous All-Star events. Brittany Traveled with Team Canada to the World Junior A Championship in 2018. In 2020 Brittany was awarded the OJHL Trainer of the Year honours.

Remiya Varghese

Registered Kinesiologist
Remiya graduated from the accelerated Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College after completing a Bachelors of Arts degree in Kinesiology at Western University. With her knowledge in exercise science she hopes to use an active rehabilitative approach during Massage therapy treatments. Remiya wishes to create personalized treatment plans with her clients focusing on their physical and psychological well being.

Alessia Marchese
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
M. OMSc, BA (Hons) KIN
Alessia’s journey began at Western University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology. Her passion for athletics and rehabilitative sciences led her to pursue further studies at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), where she spent four years deepening her knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and the application of classical osteopathic principles.
After being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, Alessia experienced firsthand the transformative power of osteopathic care. Her recovery inspired her to help others on their healing journeys by providing personalized care that focuses on prevention, rehabilitation, and the body’s innate ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
Alessia is committed to providing individualized treatment plans that restore balance, improve movement, and support long-term wellness, helping her patients feel and move their best.

Debbie Morrow

Debbie has been working at Total Health Physio since June 2015. She started off as a patient in 2014, and we loved having her around so much that we asked her if she wanted to stay and work with us :). She has a smile that is contagious and just makes your day brighter!
